THIS
PAGE IS WHERE I GET TO SPREAD GOSSIP, RUMOURS, AND HAVE THE OCCASIONAL PAYBACK!
IT'S SIMPLE...DONT GET IN MY FACE, & THE WORLD WONT HEAR ABOUT IT! WHAT DOES
IT HAVE TO DO WITH SET? ONLY THAT THIS IS MY SACRIFICE TO MY GOD'S DESIRE
FOR CHAOS & HOSTILITY!
The
big news at the moment is that I've been left an estate in Lochaber in the Scottish
Highlands. It came with a title, so now, under Scottish Law, I'm entitled to
call myself "The Laird ArFrith, of Lochaber". All those years of devotion
to Set must be starting to pay off. I'm still a bit shy financially, & I
cant see a title being much use in Australia, but at least "Lord ArFrith"
might be of some use for a restaurant booking!
It's official: Wombat is a raving idiot! Affectionate, protective,
and full of personality, but a muscle-bound, footy-headed, blundering idiot
all the same! I love him dearly. We got his 1/2 sister Tilly as well, as
a christmas present from his breeder.. 16kg at 7 months old, and feral.
Oh, joy! 2 geat british bulldog lumps galloping around the house & bulldozing
their way through everything, How's that for fun? There isn't enough room
on the bed now...
A
new regular is going back to the UK, & he's getting a mate in the Lowlands
to grab another bottle of "Cock o' The North" for me. Damn, I love
that stuff! Not only is it my favourite scotch for taste, but being made by
the Gordon clan Chief doesn't hurt either! Mind you, the 21 year old Glengoyne,
& the 18yr old Glenkinchie Distiller's edition that I got at an auction
the other night was pretty bloody awesome as well. You just cant beat a good
single malt.
The
facial tattooing is finally finished. It'd be good if people stopped asking
me if it's Maori though. With the huge percentage of Celtic blood in Australia,
it'd be nice if a few were aware of their roots & traditions.
I dont mind the Welsh anyway (one of my great-grandmothers was Welsh) but
a mate of ours, Richard, is one of the best. The Christmas present was WAY
over & above, let alone completely unexpected. There's nothing we can
say, but hopefully this'll go some small way to expressing our appreciaion.
Bushies
are usually pretty good people anyway, with their old-school morals &
stuff, but my mate, "cuzzin" & clansman Col is one of the best.
Tapadh leat , fear-cinnidh ! (Yep, the Gaelic is improving!)
"e
maanie is on 'e intairnet! "e maanie is alsae lairnin' 'e Doric, sae
th' kinsmen can alsae understand him whe he taks the mither back tae Aberdeen
fer 'e internment.
You
still haven't figured it out, have you? Only one fish bit at the hook, &
you're still wriggling & struggling on it. It was good of you to bring
the rest of the school along for a nibble, but that's just what we were counting
on. You goose.
There
are some decent people left in the world. Brett at Bunarong Aquarium is one
of 'em. I'm still waiting to get you in the hotseat at work, by the way!
